Hello! I am an elementary school educator in Texas.  This is my 6th year teaching; it is my passion and very challenging, but very rewarding. I have recently started writing articles.  What prompted me to write is the time off during the summer. I have quite a bit of down time during the summer. I can't say the same during the school year; very hectic from January until the end of April since we have to get the students ready for the TAKS (state standardized test).  I have started a blog as well-http://teachers-lounge-talk.blogspot.com/. it's about my experiences as a teacher.

I have been married for three years. My husband is a wonderful man who loves to make me laugh and give me a hard time (in a good way). I love the little things he does to make me feel appreciated.
