My Samsung Fascinate Phone-Four Reasons to Buy It and Why I Love It!
By txgal
Should I Buy the Samsung Fascinate?
So you want to know if the Samsung Fascinate GalaxyS smartphone is the one to buy? I recently upgraded my LG cell phone to the Samsung Fascinate. I have had the phone for a month and I absolutely love it. I orginally wanted an iPhone, but I didn't want to switch carriers from Verizon Wireless to AT&T. This cell phone was highly recommended to me by a friend (who also happens to be a Verizon representative) who knew I wanted an iPhone. All I can say is that I no longer desire it; I am truly satisfied with the choice I made.
1. Graphics and Images are Clear
Vivid! The one word I would use to describe the clarity of the images and graphics. The colors on the screen seem to jump out at me. I do play some games I downloaded from the Android Market and I cannot complain. However, that is coming from someone who is not a heavy game user. When browsing the internet it feels as if I am looking at the graphics coming straight from my laptop or PC. The quality does not suffer.
2. Android Market Applications
Totally awesome! The diversity of the applications on the Android Market is phenomenal. There are quite a bit of applications and games available for free. I personally enjoy listening to Pandora radio and TuneIn Radio. Also, the Kindle application comes preloaded on the Samsung Fascinate. This is an excellent application for me because I am an avid reader. I have been able to download several free ebooks from Amazon.com. Some of the free dowlonads are popular classics such as A Christmas Carol, The Scarlet Letter, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
As for the games, you can download arcade & action, brain & puzzle, cards & casino, and casual ones. Just as the applications, there are also free games that can be downloaded. My free personal favorites are Black Jack, Solitaire, Bubble Burst, Mahjong, and Angry Birds.
3. Touch Screen
The 4-inch touch screen is easy to use. I really don't have any complaints on this, except for when I am wearing gloves. Gloved hands and touch screens don't mix well! I have not had any problems with the touch screen; smooth sliding from one screen to the next. You are able to drag your most used icons onto the home screen of your Samsung Fascinate. Plus the phone has a lock feature that comes in handy when you have your phone in your pocket or purse. This helps prevent any accidental pushing of buttons. At the beginning I did keep on accidentally dialing my top contacts when I put the cell phone in my pocket. However, I solved the problem by not including my top contacts on the home screen.
4. Camera
The Samsung Fascinate comes with a 5 megapixel camera with flash included. The quality of the pictures is clear. It actually takes better pictures than my Sony digital camera. Somehow I ended up with a Sony camera that is not great on picture quality and never bothered to return it. On the flash you can either turn it on, turn it off, or put it on auto flash. Also, the camera has 9 different shooting modes. I usally keep it on the single shot mode and it works perfectly fine for me. What I really like about the camera is you can share your photos on Facebook or Picasa.
In Closing
Now you have read my four top reasons why I am pleased with the purchase of my Samsung Fascinate cell phone. It left me with no yearning for that iPhone I couldn't afford to buy plus have the same type of coverage without spending a lot more per month.
